You all got a sneak peek ofNate’s nursery back in August when I shared our baby registry, but it wasn’t until a few weeks later that the room fully came together. It’s a good thing Nate didn’t arrive early because I waited until the last minute!

Our goal for his nursery was to create a place that was bright and cheerful, yet still functional for small apartment living. If you recognize this room it’s because it previously was my office/closet. When we found out we were pregnant, we quickly had to adapt and I had to do some major condensing, but we made it work! I now keep most of my clothing and accessories in the first panel of the IKEA built-in system you can see on the left side of the room, this free-standing garment rack and on my shoe wall, which I revealed to y’all in this post.

When choosing Nate’s nursery furniture, the number one thing we kept in mind was versatility. This apartment isn’t our forever home (our lease is up in early 2021) so we specifically looked for a crib and glider chair that would work in a house when we move. Right away I fell in love with this classic white convertible crib (it transitions to a toddler bed!) and reclining chair (we spend hours breastfeeding + reading here) from Million Dollar Baby Classic. The quality of both are top notch and will be with us for many years to come!

Things I love: bright colors, personalized decor and stuffed animals. Clearly I had to go all out for my boy! During my pregnancy I went on a plush animal ordering spree… This brand makes the softest, most cuddly ones! Some of my other favorite decorative pieces in his room are this custom wood name sign, his hanging elephant mobile and an embroidered blanket handmade by my mom!

Confession: Nate’s clothing is 10x more organized than my own. Maybe it’s because the fun of folding and hanging all his teeny baby clothes hasn’t worn off yet? These drawer organizers have been a game changer at keeping all of his things neat and tidy. The perfect size for kids clothing, underwear, socks, etc!
