Multiple Hanging Areas
Multiple hanging areas were a must-have feature for our clients to store all of their clothes like skirts, blouses, shirts, an slacks. We designed them at different heights throughout the closet to maximize wall space. Double hang areas work well for separates. Longer hanging areas with shorter rods are perfect for long items like dresses.
Drawer Units
Sets of drawers act as a divider between hanging areas without sacrificing storage. These are perfect for foldable items like tees, tanks, undergarments, socks, and sweaters. If you share a closet with a significant other, make sure each person has enough type of storage for the items in their wardrobe. In this closet, on one side of the closet, you’ll see a set of five drawers. On the opposite side, the bottom section is replaced with built-in hampers from the Engage line from TagHardware. The hamper slides out to and makes laundry easy. The bins easily pull up out of the rack when it’s time to do laundry.
Shelving
For shoes, bags, and other knickknacks, open shelves work well. Along the back wall of this closet, multiple shelves are designed for shoes. The shelves were set to maximize the number of shoes that can be stored but can be adjusted. Larger shelves are perfect for sweaters, bags, and other accessories.
Finishing Touches
Hanging rods and matching hardware in a brushed finish help complete the space. Even though this walk-in is on the smaller side, simple touches add elegance and increase the utility of the space. A small valet rod in the same finish will help our clients plan outfits. For an upgraded look, slim toe kicks were installed along the base of the shoe shelves and drawers. The white case and drawers help to keep the space open. As a bonus, our furniture-grade laminates and woods are super easy to maintain and durable.
