LEGO® Ideas The Starry Night Set
Calling all art lovers! A brand new LEGO Ideas building set is ready to drop, and it’s all about paying homage to Vincent Van Gogh. In addition to all the pieces you need to make a stunning replica of the famed Starry Night painting, the set includes a van Gogh minifigure, paint brush, palette, easel and mini painting on a printed tile. An included hanging feature lets artists either hang the finished piece or display on a tabletop.
Designed by Truman Cheng, a 25-year old Hong Kong-based LEGO fan, the new set was created in partnership with the New York Museum of Modern Art. The set pays special attention to detail, including 3D features that lend themselves to real-life brush strokes and vibrant colors.
The 2,316-piece set comes together to form a 12″ x 15″ masterpiece. While it’s definitely built for older “kids,” there’s absolutely no reason the new set can’t serve as the perfect family night activity.
The new LEGO Ideas Starry Night Set will go on sale exclusively to LEGO VIP Members and MoMA members today, May 25. Not a member? You can grab the set when it goes on sale to the general public on Jun. 1.
