One dad’s birthday present to his daughter backfired in the most hilarious way and it’s now going viral on Reddit. After giving his toddler a new pink camera for her birthday, she used it to take pictures of her stuffed animals—and of her dad pooping.
“My daughter got a camera for a birthday. One of the first things she did with it was to barge in the bathroom and take a pic of me taking a dump,” Reddit user @theard7 wrote in his post on May 6, which already has over 55,500 upvotes. Explaining that he asked the toddler not to take the picture—but she insisted because it was her “NEW CAMERA!”—he adds, “When I walked in the other room my wife was laughing so hard she was laying on the kitchen floor in tears.”
And he’s not the only one with a mischievous photo-taking kid. Other parents chimed in with their own hilarious bathroom incidents. “Our 3 year old nabs our phones all the time and always goes straight to the camera. Wife was sifting through all the pics and vids the little one had taken and found a 3 minute video of my wife on the toilet,” one dad wrote.
Fortunately, the original poster is taking the whole thing with a terrific sense of humor. “We can’t wait to print the best of her photos and put them in an album. Obviously this will make the cut,” he jokes, adding that he can’t wait until she’s older to tell this story to all of her friends. After all, that’s (literally) the sh*t memories are made of.
